A genuine ISO-rated dive watch with an automatic movement for around $350. Nothing else at the price is certified for what this can do; the drilled lugs and 60-click bezel are quiet luxuries the spec sheet does not even list.
The ISO rating is the whole argument. “200m water resistant” is a pressure claim any brand can print; ISO 6425 Diver’s compliance is a testing regime covering condensation, shock, magnetic resistance, strap attachment and legibility in the dark. Very few watches under $500 carry it. This one does, which is why it takes the highest value sub-score in the Atlas.
The honest catch is accuracy: the 8203 hacks but beats at 21,600vph and commonly runs fast out of the box. Serviceable, not impressive — and easily regulated by a watchmaker for less than the difference to the next tier up.
