Atlas notes

A second time zone used to be a four-figure feature, and Pagani Design now sells one for $152.94 on sale, $189.99 at the regular price. The PD-1792 GMT is a 39mm steel automatic with a 24-hour bezel and a date at 3, offered in black, sky blue, blue and white.

The maker’s own spec page is generous with the basics. 316L steel, screw-down crown, hard-coated sapphire, 100 meters (330 feet, a splash-and-swim number rather than a diver’s one), 13mm thick, 158 grams. The movement is named as a “Pearl DG5833GMT” with 42 hours in reserve. That is a modest reserve, and Pagani Design does not say whether the movement hacks or hand-winds, so I will not say it either. It also does not say how the GMT hand is set, which is the whole question for anyone who travels.

The weaknesses are the unpublished ones. No lug-to-lug figure, so you cannot judge the fit on a small wrist before buying. No strap material and no clasp type, on a 20mm strap that is 22cm long.

If you want a reliable automatic at this money, the Seiko 5 Sports SRPD55 is the safer purchase. If you want to find out whether you actually use a second time zone before paying real money for one, this is a cheap way to learn, and in my view the only honest reason to buy it.
